British Standard 7858:2006 sets out recommendations for the security screening of individuals to be employed in an environment where the security and safety of people, goods or property is a requirement of the employing organisation's operations or where such security screening is in the public interest.
 
Working to British Standard 7858:2006 we screen your candidate to a period at not less than 5 years with no unverified gaps greater than 28 days. We also lengthen this period based on 'contractual or legislative considerations' or 'specific industry standards'.

We also check the individual's financial history through a recognised credit reference bureau and also Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) checks - or other Police checks -  in circumstances where a SIA licence is not required.

Screening to British Standard 7858:2006 is normally required for accreditation purposes so many organisations who do not require this higher level of security vetting choose scaled down versions instead, specifically tailored to meet their own organisational needs;

What we need from you.

• Fully completed application form, (if required we can provide you with a generic form which you can amend to reflect your company identity)
• Copies of Birth certificate, Passport, Drivers license, Home Utility Bills , SIA license (if applicable), all signed that you have seen the original copy and that it is a genuine copy
• Copies of UK Home Office letters, Work permits, Residence permits (if applicable)Copies of CRB print out, Service discharge papers, Training Certificates, exam certificates. To speed the process up we would ask that all paperwork is scanned and emailed to us, we will confirm receipt and let you have a preliminary report within 24 hours.

Each week after receipt of your file, we will provide you with a detailed progress report until completion, however should any serious issue arise during the vetting process we will contact you immediately.

We aim to process a vetting file within six weeks of receipt, but this is dependent upon the quality of the information supplied.
